Richard Dean Anderson is scheduled to appear at the 2024 Basingstoke Comic Con with Amanda Tapping.
Although still several months away, Richard is already booked as the headliner at the Convention which runs from May 10 to 12th at the The Hampshire Court Hotel where he will be joined by fellow Stargaters Amanda Tapping and David Hewlett.
Richard and the other Stargate quests are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday appearances where they will be available for photo and autographs as well as on-stage Question & Answer sessions. In addition, Richard, along with the other quests, will be doing a Meet & Greet session where up to 12 attendees at a time will get to have a 20-25 minute private chat with their selected guest over a non-alcoholic drink.
There will also be a special ‘Archive Sale’ held by Legends Canada with the star item being the original “Eye of the iris” prop used for filming in the show, complete with 21 cast signatures.
This convention will also mark the end of Paul Brown’s 17 year tenor as Richard’s convention manager. Paul recently announced via his Facebook page that he will be retiring from the convention circuit after this final appearance with Richard and will pass the travel duties over to his daughter and her partner while he continues working in the background organizing appearances for as long as Richard wants to continue. This will also be the final appearance of the Legend Memorabilia Stargate collectibles booth which has been a constant companion to Richards convention appearances over the years – marking the end of an era for Richards appearances.
