MacGyver went to the Choco region of Colombia on an assignment to rescue a captured American journalist who had been taken hostage by a local drug cartel and was being held at a remote location in the region.
Alexander Shannon had been targeted as the son of US Senator Tom Shannon and was being used as a bargaining chip for the release of a drug load being held in US custody.
MacGyver snuck into the camp hidden inside a hot tub being delivered to the camp. Once there he built a make-shift ultra-light to escape with Shannon to freedom.

Good night, I want to make a comment about the location of Choco, is not Columbia, Columbia is the name of several “towns” in the United States, this location is in Colombia, please, I would appreciate it, as a Colombian and as a Macgyver fan, to change Columbia for Colombia.
