- MacGyver knows Arnold Palmer’s birthday of 9/10/29
- Pete is a big fan of golf.
- Jack Dalton can fly helicopters as well as planes
- Even though the name Kosov is spelled slightly differently in the two episodes the events and timeline match up for this being the same character as the one we see in Thief of Budapest.
- This was the first of 3 two-part episodes in the series. The other two being “Legend Of The Holy Rose” and “Good Knight MacGyver”
QUOTES
- MacGyver: Jack?
Jack: I used to be. (after MacGyver slammed him against a wall) - Why can’t you just knock or say hello like everybody else? – Jack (after Mac almost punches him)
- Good luck to the good guys. – Jack Dalton
- You’ll come up with something. That’s what you’re good at. – Jack to MacGyver
- Jack: Wouldn’t it have been easier just to check in?
MacGyver: Yeah, but not half as much fun. - Jack: I’m getting hives, you know that?
MacGyver: Just relax.
Jack: Relax? If that alarm pops when I shot this we’re both in sing-sing. - Jack Dalton: How in God’s name do you know Arnold Palmer’s birthday?
MacGyver: Doesn’t everyone?
NIT-PICKS
- The tape Chu shows Pete is supposed to be from the one camera installed in the room. But it contains multiple views and close ups, which wouldn’t be possible with a single stationary camera.
- The helicopter has both Canadian and American registration numbers: C-GZPX on the bottom and N471 on the lower part of the nose. One aircraft cannot legally have two registrations at the same time from two countries.
- As Mac is hurrying back to Dalton’s car after losing his pursuers in the Chinese parade, a city bus is seen driving away into the distance, complete with Diesel engine sound. But the bus is an electric bus, with dual overhead poles.
- When MacGyver (and later Jack) enters Arnold Palmer’s birthday, they only enter 5 digits for the 6 digit code. Instead of the entered code, 91029, it should be 091029 to fulfill the six digit security code.
