MacGyver reluctantly agreed to an assignment in Czechoslovakia to free a man being held as a political prisoner with a mercenary whom he still holds a grudge against from a previous mission. Pete Thornton wanted Mac on the assignment because he was the only Phoenix member who knew the layout of the hospital the prisoner was being held in as he had broken a man out of the same hospital a year earlier.
Note:
It’s not known if the “break out” Pete refers to is suppose to be from the Prisoner Of Conscience episode or not as that episode took place in Leningrad, Russia, not Czechoslovakia.
Czechoslovakia peacefully split into the Czechia and Slovakia on 1 January 1993.
