MacGyver traveled to Wyoming to deliver geological charts to his friends Bill and Laura Farren who had set up a Wildcat oil drill in the hopes of striking it rich. The dream, however, turned to a nightmare when sparks from a smashed light bulb ignited the gases from a gas pocket in the well leaving causing a huge Hellfire.
Note: The location was never mentioned in this episode, but the TV guide stated it as being Wyoming.
