Borza Prison is a facility for the detention of political prisoners located on the outskirts of Budapest. Prisoners here are subjected to interrogation and forced to work on various construction projects.
When Jana stole a watch from Nicolai Grodsky which contained Soviet intelligence information meant for MacGyver, Alex and his family became targets of the KGB and were promptly arrested and sent to Borza Prison for questioning to find the location of the watch. MacGyver and Jana quickly broke them out of the prison using various diversions including a razor-wire barricade, a runaway tractor, and a chemical explosion to help them escape in a commandeered supply van.
