Catherine is the wife of Eric Woodman, a successful businessman who has made his wealth through aggressive business practice. Because of his work focus, his family life and marriage have both suffered from regular arguments and stress between the two which eventually resulted in them separating while their daughter, Lisa, was at boarding school in Switzerland.
After Lisa came to MacGyver’s aid while at her school in Switzerland, Catherine and Eric decided to, with Lisa’s negotiations, try to save their marriage.
