Curt Neilson

Curt Neilson was a colonel with East German Intelligence who had been tasked to recover or destroy a microfilm list of terrorist names and plans obtained by MacGyver.

After he and his henchmen captured MacGyver he injected him with a serum designed to persuade him to give up the information. The initial effects of the serum included a burning sensation, followed by disorientation, memory loss, double vision, and hallucinations. In approximately three hours the mind would begin to clear but the drug would cause excruciating pain that would lead to death if the antidote, a tiny red pill, was not administered within six hours.

MacGyver quickly escaped after receiving the injection leaving Neilson and his men to try and find him before his mind started to clear or the six hours ran out.

Once MacGyver began to recover his memory, he returned to the warehouse where, after taking out Nielsen’s’ henchmen, he confronted Neilson in an attempt to acquire the antidote. However, after a short fist fight which MacGyver lost due to his rapidly deteriorating state, Neilson tossed the metal container with the antidote pill in a sewer grate leaving him to die. This caused MacGyver to summon all the energy he could muster and drop Nielson with a final punch before using a magnetized rod to recover the metal pill container and take the antidote with moments to spare.

Neilson and his men were subsequently taken into custody by Pete Thornton and the DXS, who had arrived after Lisa had called them earlier on MacGyver’s orders.
