Mike Desmond is an NFL Titans linebacker who met and married photojournalist, Kate Connelly after she was promoted to senior editor for her story and photos exposing an illegal arms deal between a Central American military head of secret police and a deported US criminal.
When Mike first met MacGyver his wife, Kate, was expecting their first child whom she referred to as Mike Jr.
