Dexter was a socially awkward computer-geek alias MacGyver used to help bring down a money launderer, stop a plot to steal top-secret Phoenix equipment and to shut down a counterfeit baseball memorabilia operation.
Because Dexter appeared to be so socially inapt and gullible people around him dropped their guard which MacGyver used to his advantage for gaining information or infiltrating otherwise guarded situations.
